Jade’s Daniel’s withdraw.
It was July 8th and she was in Atlantis, so far from her love, all she wanted it was to be with him, but he was so far, in Earth, she always said that it wasn’t fair, her dad should had let Daniel go with her, to Atlantis, now all she wanted was a ZPM to dial Earth, just to see him, his smile, his face, feel his protection, be with him once more. At that moment she was in one of the balconies, looking at the sea, remembering the time in P6X-972, a planet with a beautiful castle in the middle of the water, and Daniel was with her, holding her, she closed her eyes, and she could felt his presence there, his arms around her, then she felt like someone was embracing her, she opened her eyes, and the first thing she saw was Daniel, and she said “Danny, what are…” but then the picture got cleared and the one holding her was Maj. Sheppard, and he said “are you ok?”, and she said “yea…” trying to clean the tears from her face, but he realize that something was going on her, and said again “come on, something is going on, you can trust me, what is it?”, and she couldn’t hide it anymore, everything reminded her Daniel, and she let it through, and started to cry, and Sheppard held her, and she said “I can’t, I can’t, I missed him so much, I need him…” he wasn’t good with feelings, but he held her all the time she needed, then she cleaned her tears and said “thanks Major, I’ll be in my quarters if you need me”, she headed to her room, and Sheppard walked to mess hall, there he found Ford, Carson, Alan and Rodney, then Aiden asked “what’s on sir?” and John said “is Jade, she is not to good…”, “what do you mean?” Rodney asked, and he said “well, she said that she needed some one, that she couldn’t be away from him anymore, but I don’t know who she is talking about”, and Elizabeth, who heard John’s last words, said “Dr. Jackson…”, and he said “as in Dr. Daniel Jackson”, “yes John, they were together since he returned to the SGC, after his ascension, they were really close, even before dating, and she is like that, because today is his birthday…” and John said “oh, hey we should do something to cheer her up…” and Ford added “yea, but what?” then Elizabeth said “take her to a ride, or something like it, may be a trip to mainland, you can take jumper 1, and everything you need…” well, all was set, they were going to take her to a day camp in the mainland, Ford, Alan and Sheppard went to prepare everything, and then they went for Jade to her quarters, Ford opened the door, and there they saw her lying on her bed, crying, and with Daniel’s picture in her hands, Alan got close to her, and said “hey Jay, come on, this is no good for you, come, come with us, Major Sheppard is going to take us to the mainland, come on”, Jade didn’t know if she was ok for it, but, she decided that she had to give it a try, so she stood up, and smiled to her friends and brother, and said “thanks, I’ll go”, that said, she took her bag and some of her stuffs, and headed to the jumper bay with her friends.
Once on board the jumper, Ford plugged his MP3 player to a little subwoofer, and putted a song and he started to sing, it was some like hip hop, and Sheppard said “I can’t believe it, hip hop…” and Jade laughed, “you are going to tell me that you don’t like it?”, and he said “why, you do?”, “yea, is really cool…” then Alan, Jay and Ford started to sing, and Sheppard said “what was missing, you three singing…” and all ended laughing, but the real deal came at the mainland, Ford changed to a bigger subwoofer, and the music sounded loud, he started to dance, and Jade with her brother followed him, and she said to him “what you want to bet that I can make Sheppard moves”, and Ford said “I don’t know, mmm, what about one of my magazines”, and she accepted the deal, then she jumped over Sheppard, and he said “I’m glad that you are better, what now”, and she smiled “hey why don’t we make a dancing contest, and the winner gets what he wants…” Rodney loved what she said, and claimed “ok, let’s do this, come on Sheppard, or you are afraid” that made Sheppard get a little angry, so he join the game too. At the end all danced, and had fun, they took the chance to play soccer, and make some sand castles, then it was getting late, so Sheppard said “ok time to go back, tomorrow we have a mission, let’s go”, all aboard in the jumper, and John made their way back, Jade was real tired, so at the moment she seated at the jumper, she fell asleep, once they arrived at Atlantis, John got close to her and said “Jay, Jay, hey come on little girl, I’ll guide you to your quarters”, but she was in a deep sleep, so he took her in his arms and headed to her quarters, there he placed her in her bed, and cover her with some blankets.
Next morning, she woke up in her quarters, she got a shower and then she headed to the mess hall for breakfast, there she met her friends, and said, “hey who was the one who took me back to my quarters” and John said “that was me, you were real sleep”, and she smiled “thanks I wasn’t drunk…” and John got impressed by her comment, “you, drunk?”, and she laughed, then said “well yea, but much more at my flight team”, “flight team? You are a pilot?” John said, and Alan said “how you haven’t told him, Jay?”, and she responded “sorry Al, I just forgot, yea, I’m, Major, why, is there a problem”, and he said “no, not at all, is just that you are so…”, “so what?” she said, “well, so young!”, and she laughed “yea, when my dad knew, he said the same, so, are we going off world, or not?”, and Sheppard said “yea, sure, after breakfast go to gear up, we will meet at the gate room”, and she smiled, after breakfast she went back to her quarters, there she took her complete gear, and then she took a special tablet from a lost fighter craft , something inside her was telling her to take it.
At the gate room, all set, Chuck dialed the gate, and the team stepped through, once at the other side, John ordered to move out, and they headed inside the forest, John was on point with Alan, followed by Rodney, and Teyla, and behind them was Jade and Aiden, singing strange songs along the way, then, after a long walk, Rodney found a cave, and inside they found some strange writings, Jade looked at them closely, it was the writings of an ancient Akaris pilot, it was written in an old dialect, fortunately, she had learnt this dialect, and said “I can’t believe it’s here!”, John looked at her strangely, and said “what is here?”, and she said “the Lantean Novafighter”, “Lantean what?” John said, and Alan said “Lantean Novafighter, is a ship that we thought it was lost in its way to Landor’s galaxy, but it’s here Jay, this is amazing”, “I can’t believe it, we need to find it, it should be around here” both started to run all over the place, looking for it, she even started to move her friends for it, then she remembered the tablet in her tactical vest, took it out, and activate a command, it showed that the ship was beneath them, and the land started to move, Rodney got scared, he thought it was an earthquake, but near them appeared a strange door, it was the entrance, and she said “oh my…ok I’m going in, who comes with me”, Sheppard, who was responsible for her, said “I will, Rodney, you may go too, Teyla, Aiden and Alan stay here and report anything unusual, let’s go” the three of them entered the ship, ride a way she made her way to the control room, once there, Rodney started to look at the ships log, but he couldn’t understand a thing, and said “didn’t you said it was Ancient”, and she said “why”, “because I can’t read it” he claimed, and she said “well Rodney, I never said that it was Ancient, I said that it was the Lantean Novafighter”, and he said “I thought that the ship was Ancient, because of the Lantean part”, and she said “well, no, is not ancient, although, it does have some Ancient tech but is entirely Akaris design” and he said “Akaris?”, and she responded “well, the Akaris were the founders of the knights, well, this ship is most Lantean Knight, but the language that you couldn’t read is Akaris”, “oh, I see…” he said, “yea, fortunately, I can” she said, then she started to look at the logs in the ship, she couldn’t believe it, the ship was mostly intact, except from the fact that its Hyper drive needed some repairs, high repairs, not even near Rodney’s knowledge, but she wasn’t going to give up, she knew that she needed to contact the Akaris High Council, and she had to do it quick, unfortunately for now she was so far, and she didn’t had the kind of power to start a wormhole to Anoran, so she decided to leave it there, she knew the gate address and left the ship completely closed and shot down, but before she went around the ship, she was amazed for the kind of technology used, it was awesome, Sheppard walked with her all the time, an in one of the quarters of the ship, she found a leather backpack, inside of it was an old computer, an unusual sword and a blast gun, she took it and said “well, I think is time to go, I’ll leave the ship off, here, no one will know about it, so, let’s go”, John smiled to her and said “ok, Rodney lets go” he was about to object, but John said “it’s an order, Rodney” that said, the three of them walked away.
Outside, Aiden, Alan and Teyla were waiting for them, then John asked “so, any news?”, and Ford said “no sir, nothing”, then Jade heard something, a few minutes later something attacked her, but no one saw a thing, it was like some invisible creature, but it got lucky, because she was deadly wounded, John and Rodney got worried about her, and John shouted “Back to the GATEEEEEE” ride a way, he took her in his arms and made his way through, followed by Rodney and the team. Once at the gate, Rodney dialed Atlantis, and it was sending his IDC, when she woke up, “John…what…agh…what happened?”, he looked at her and said “hang on, you got wounded, hang on, we will be at Atlantis in a few seconds, hang on Jay, hang on…”, she smiled at him and said “aaaaagh, ooh…Ok agh, John…” then she fell unconscious. The gate was open and he ran through. Once at the other side, John shouted “WE NEED A MED TEAM”, then Elizabeth said “Chuck, call Carson, tell him that we have an emergency”, and she walked to the gate, there she asked John “John, what happened?” and he said “we are not entirely sure, but some invisible creature attacked Jay…oh Carson, here”, ride a way, Carson looked at her, and said “oh, good lord…ok boys, immediate surgery, prepare everything…”, and Elizabeth said “ok, go to change yourselves, then we will meet”, Alan ran to his quarters followed by John, and said to him “hey, calm down, she I’ll be alright, she is strong”, while he managed to hold him, and calm him down.
After the briefing, John went with Alan to see how Jay was, at the infirmary, Carson told him “well, Major, she is not to good, the creature attacked her pretty bad, and she’s still in a coma, now is up to her…”, and John asked “can I see her?”, and he smiled “sure, but be careful”, and John responded “I will…Alan stay with Carson” then he walked next to her, for a few minutes he remained in silence, but then he said “Jay, kid, hey, you can’t leave us, come on, you have to remain here, you are an important part of this team, you have to live, don’t make me have to tell your dad and Daniel that you died, please, we need you here…I still remember our first mission, when we arrived, and the countless times you save me, come on, you are the soul of the team…I remember that you dad told me that you were a little crazy, and when we arrived I didn’t notice, because you weren’t open to us, but when you did, I saw the wonderful person that is inside you, come on kid, don’t go…” after that, he looked at her, and then he walked out.
At night, the whole team was at the mess hall, but no one was talking, all were worried about her, then Rodney said “hum, I’ll go to my lab, good night”, Telya did the same, and finally Ford said “sir, you should go to sleep” and he answered “no, I’ll go with Jay…”, “good night sir”, “good night, Ford”, and both walked out, Aiden to his quarters, and John to the infirmary, there he crossed with Carson and Alan, “major, you should go to sleep, is late” and John answered to him “no Carson, I’ll stay here with Jay…”, “ok, good night, come on Alan, you have to sleep” and Carson walked out with Alan. There he spent the entire night, next to her.
In the coma time, Jay was having the strangest dream “she was in a huge forest, near Colorado, with Daniel, having the best moment of their life, he looked at her and said “Jay, my love, you have to fight, fight to live” then his face changed, and the whole place changed, it looked like Lantean architecture, and the one in front of her was John, who said the same, but behind him was Daniel, near the gate, and he said “fight Jay, fight, you have to return to Earth, return to me…” and Daniel walked through the gate, she tried to ran after him, but some invisible force was holding her…”
A hand over his shoulder, woke John up, it was Elizabeth, and she said “any changes on her?” and he said “no, she’s still in a coma, I wish I could do much more, but I can’t”, then she added “John, she will be ok, she is an incredible warrior, or you didn’t read her file?”, and he said “no, I didn’t, why?”, so she told John “well, this is not the first time she get wounds like this, one of the worst was against a horrible enemy, an evil goa’uld known as Har’karus, he didn’t belong to the System Lords, but he was pure evil, well, she got in his hands after an ambush, and he, well, he tortured her in an strange way, once her team saved her, she was really bad, she took five weeks at the infirmary, her dad was real bad…” amazed by the story, John asked “and how old was she at that moment?” and she answered “fourteen”, John couldn’t believe it, at that short life, and had to live worst horrors than in the middle East, Elizabeth figured what he was thinking, and said “well, that is the kind of life she chosed, she decided it when she went through the gate from Anoran to Earth”
A few days have passed, and there was no change on her, then one day, John was seating next to her, playing in his laptop Age of Empires II, while Alan was training with Ford, he had to do it, because his sister wasn’t back yet, the game John was playing was one that she liked a lot, what happened in the next minutes was incredible, she woke, and said “hey, try to use the cars, the special Shelby, it will make you win against the Chinese” and he said “Jay, you are…Carson, Carson”, a few seconds later Carson showed up and said “oh, good lord, I’m glad that you are better now, welcome back, major if you let me, I’ll check her now”, and John smiled “ok Carson, see you later” then he walked to the mess hall. There he found Ford, Alan, Teyla and Rodney, seated in one of the balcony tables, he went for some food, and walked there, then Ford asked him “sir, what’s about Jay?” and he smiled “she is ok, she woke up a few minutes ago, we can go and see her after Carson’s check”, and Ford said “ok, I’ll go too”, and Alan shouted “really, she is ok, I want to go with her too”, “easy Alan, you can come with us too” John said.
In the infirmary, Carson brought her lunch, and seated with her, “so, I heard that you are always working on some projects?” and she smiled “yea, kind like always, ha ha, at that way I keep my self occupied, and my brother always likes to help”, and he asked “and in what are you working now?” and she responded “well, before the accident, I was working in the replica of a ship, but I have one done already, if you want I can show them to you, once I’m better”, he smiled and said “that will be great, and how you do it?”, and she said “well, is a bit of hard work, I usually start with the idea, and make it in my mind, with everything I need, and I try some things in my mind, then when it works I start to make it, checking that I have everything I need, in the first days I thought that I wouldn’t be able to do much, because of the resources, but, here I been able to find anything”, and he smiled, then John, Alan and Ford came in, “Jay, I was so scared” Alan said, “hey, I’m glad that you are better” Ford added, and she smiled to him, then John said “were you talking about a ship?”, and she laughed, and said “yea, is a ship prop, is one of my current projects, some of the made ones are in my quarters”, and John said “really, cool, when you get out, you got to show them to me”, and Ford said “yea, to me too”, and she said “ok, I will, hey, does any one have a pen and a notebook?” and Ford said “mmm, I might, what for?”, “well, I want to draw something, you will like it” and Ford went for the pen and paper, then handed it to Jay, who ride away started to draw her new project, an amazing ship, like one of the Star Wars ones, John was amazed by her skills, and then said “that’s really cool, you really have skills for this”, and she smiled “yea, I want to be a movie maker, a film maker, I love that kind of stuffs, I already have some clip videos, and I’m always making more, that’s why I used to spend much time at my quarters”, and all laughed, then Carson said “mmm, you should invite us to see your work” and she smiled and said “sure, I will, and of course, all of you will be invited to the Avant Premiere, ha ha”, then Rodney showed up, “hey Jay, how are you?”, and she answered “cool, thanks”, and he asked “what are you doing?” and she said “is a ship, and I want to make it real…” and he said “real, you mean, real, as in big real”, and she said “no, not to big, just to play with it, is going to be a prop for my movies”
A week after Carson released her, and she ran straight to her quarters, there, with her brother, she looked in her truck for some of her made stuffs, and took it to the mess hall, where she met with her friends, “hey guys, ah, look at this”, and Ford said “what are those?”, and she said “some of my projects”, and everyone were impressed, because actually some of them worked, and Sheppard said “wow, all of this is really cool, I bet that if Spielberg meets you, he would want that you work with him in the movie business”, and she smiled “really, I wish that could happen, in fact, in Anoran there are some schools that teach our ways to make movies”, “and are you going to go to one of those?” Ford asked and she said “no, unfortunately no, because Haik, who is my mentor in Anoran said that I can’t, he doesn’t want that any of his teammates lives badly, I always said to him that if you like what you do, you would never live badly, but he doesn’t listen”, and Sheppard said “really?”, and she smiled “yea, he used to be a dreamer like me, but now he is not the cool guy he used to be, being father had changed him, a lot” and Teyla said “how sad, but what your dad said?”, “well, not much, apparently he is agree with Haik, but my plan is that finally do it, anyway” and all laughed, then Ford said “hey, why don’t we make a movie ourselves”, Jay smiled at the idea, but John and Rodney said “a MOVIE? Are you out of your mind?”, and Jay said “that would be cool, or you are going to tell me that you never dreamed to be or do something kind of impossible, like fly, or have superpowers, come on, it would be fun”. Finally all of them agreed, and at the next day all of them were going to meet at the gym, with Carson and Elizabeth too.
Next morning, Jay went with her gear to the gym, and their friends were waiting for her, ride a way they started to film, different kind of clips, and shots, then, once they were ready, she took the films and pass them to her laptop, and there she started the final part. Once ended, she showed the picture to her friends, there Rodney appeared flying like superman, Ford fighting like the comics characters, John as the king of who knows where, Carson was an imperial trooper, Alan was like Ferb, and Elizabeth was a queen of Atlantis Kingdom, another clip was with Sheppard and Jade as cowboys, Carson and Ford as Jedi Knights with Alan as the Sith, Rodney as a special secret agent, and at the end, all the pictures and extra clips that were made during the filming, scaring Rodney, Jade’s “false” step and ending in John’s arms, Carson, Ford and Jade’s ugly faces, Teyla, Elizabeth and Jade’ Charlie angels picture, and more, all together with a song of Beyonce, and she made copies for all the presents.
At night, Jade was tired, but happy, it had been a cool day, like the old times at the SGC, with her team, and her love, and John walked were she was, at the main balcony, and said “hey, it had been cool…”, “yea, it really was, it reminded my the time we did the same with SG1…”, and he said “really, your dad too?”, and she said “yea, I still remember, it was really funny, he tried to make a trick on my flightboard, I still have it, but is in Earth…”, and he said “hey, hum, come, let’s go to the mess hall, I’m hungry”, she smiled and headed with him to the mess hall, happy for her friends.
