December

Hello Gaters,
December is Starting, and well, Christmas is coming, in some places very cold, and in others, really hot! (like here, in Chile). Well, December comes with a new event, FIC Santiago, a Comic Convention here, it has different guests, like Tony Moore, and other Illustrators, from Chile and LatinAmerica.
I'll be posting some pictures of it after the event on Dec 10.
And this weekend, Dec 2 & 3, take place the Teletón here in Chile, and I'll be posting some pics from my friends and I on the Star Wars event.
Well, November is over, and count down for 2012 is about to start.
My best wishes for December, the last month of the year!!

Coming Soon

Hello Gaters!!
How are you? hope all great...well, this will be a very short entry....but here goes, well, December is coming, which means Christmas is about to come, also Fic Santiago, a Comics convention that will bring some amazing comic's Authors, like Tony Moore, the author of The Walking Dead, plus others, so is coming very good.
Also starting on Castings for Gater Teens, a Fanboys style movie, on Stargate!! with any luck we will be start filming on December, so hopefully we will have first trailer on January!! (if I can have it posted for my Birthday will be awesome, Jan, 10) we will also launch a Facebook page and an official Twitter, apart from mine @JadeBernyOneill. so, hope having more news soon!.

Zombie Walk Chile

Hello Gaters, and Geek friends:
This weekend took place the most known ZombieWalk!! which was amazing, I took part with some friends from The Resistance, what we want to make it an official group. The walk was marked by the appear of the old child characters, characters from TV, movies and other, that marked your childhood, in their terms, it was the Zombie Walk of the Dead Childhood. There were Jedis zombies, Pac-Man zombies, Captain America as Zombie, Capt. Jack Sparrow zombie, Mystery Inc. zombie (but I did not see Scooby Zombie), and much more...
The Resistance had some too, from Resident Evil, to Half Life, and of course, Stargate!! I was as Major Samantha Carter from Stargate SG1. But, let the photos come!!

Proximos Eventos

Hola Gaters:
Como estan todos, espero que esten bien, anoche fue la Gala de Once Upon a Cure, la cual fue un gran exito, es bueno saber que aun hay gente que se importa por las causas como la busqueda de una cura para el Sindrome de Hunter, si buscan mas informacion, visiten: http://onceuponacure.com/ 
En la Gala se hicieron presentes grandes personajes de la television Americana y Canadiense, entre ellos estaban Amanda Tapping, Robin Dunne, Ryan Robbins, Robert Lawrenson, Julia Benson, entre otros. Aunque la gala ya haya sucedido, hay que seguir apoyando, eso es lo mas importante.
En otro ambito, el proximo fin de semana (sept. 30, oct. 1 y 2) tiene lugar la ExpoComics, una pequeña convencion de Comics, la cual reune a un gran numero de ilustradores de comics y fans de comics, y yo estare reporteando sobre el evento aqui mismo en mi blog. Ademas de eso, el 15 de octubre tiene lugar el ZombieWalk Chile, donde el tema sera convertir en Zombie a algun personaje de la infancia, WOW, tenemos que ver eso, y luego el 29, 30 y 31 de Octubre llega la ConComics, donde asistire en el modo STARGATE, para representar a la comunidad Stargate y lograr hacerla crecer, y generar una representacion SG aqui, y asi en algun futuro poder tener una Convencion de Stargate en Chile, con invitados como Kavan Smith, Joe Flanigan, David Hewlett, entre otros.

Hello Gaters:
How is everyone, I hope all ok, well, last night was the Once Upon A Cure Gala, which was a huge success, great to now that people still support good causes, check in here for more information about Once Upon a Cure: http://onceuponacure.com/
On the Gala were present a number of important people, specially to all geeks, like Amanda Tapping, Robin Dunne, Ryan Robbins, Julia Benson, Robert Lawrenson among others. But people, keep supporting, that is the most important thing.
In other way, next weekend (9/30, 10/1&2) here in Santiago of Chile, takes place the ExpoComics, a little convention about comics, joining the most important Chilean comic drawers and comic fans, so there I'll be checking out the whole event, also on October 15th is the ZombieWalk, and this year the theme is make your childhood hero, or fave cartoon or character into a Zombie!! wow, we have to see that, haha, and then on October 29, 30 & 31 takes place the ConComics, where I'll be going representing the Stargate community, so we can get started as a community here, and in a possible future, have a Stargate Con here, with great special guests like Kavan Smith, Joe Flanigan, David Hewlett, and the others.

It's Summer time in Chile, meaning: Filming Time!!

Hello Gaters:
Hey, long time, haha, but I've been on Twitter, well is September, meaning, here Summer is coming, that's life on the south side of the planet, LOL, haha, well, September did not started like we wanted to, but things happen for a reason, I'm pretty sure some of you heard about the air craft crash in Juan Fernandez island, where Chile lost one of our best TV-animator, Felipe Camiroaga, and a very important business man, Felipe Cubillos, among others, 21 in total, they were on a very wonderful mission, to rebuild the island, after last year's tsunami, well, I'm pretty sure they are in a better place now.
But, hey, we have to keep moving, so, Summer is coming, and with that comes the filming projects, yes, I'm currently working on some projects for this summer, plus going to a cool university here to study Film Making, starting next year, but this summer is all about Filming, first project is Gater Teens, a story based on FanBoys, but completely on Stargate, and with that some other Fan-films and videos based on Star Wars and Stargate.
Even though, that's not all, next weekend is the ExpoComics and on Halloween's weekend is the ConComics, which is awesome, well, my friends, I'm glad everyone of you is ok, oh, and make sure to check ONCE UPON A CURE charity auction, there are very interesting things...my fave is the lunch with Hewlett, but I'm a bit far! FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS, and help ONCE UPON A CURE!

Place your feet in the Earth

"Place your Feet in the Earth" is the most common phrase I hear around here, most Chilean used it to be and to make others be conformed, accept your reality, deal with daily things, or study a career you are fit to. Most people here believes that dreamily lives are worthless, that you should live real.
I've been hearing that speech my whole life, and well, I've seen most of my friends give up their dreams, because of it, because of their parents, with their speeches that said "I grew up", or "I should do what my dad says, because he knows" well, I'm not willing to do that, I think is important for everyone of us to do what we love, for crazy that it sounds, and I know that when you love what you do, you will keep doing it, I've been hearing people complaining about their jobs my whole life, and I don't what to go through the same, and no one should go through that. May be I'll never get the chance to work with Spielberg (who is one of my role models) or Robert Rodriguez, but at least I'll do what I love, and if I get the chance to work with Kavan Smith or Joe Flanigan, it would be worth it, and if I don't, well, either way, I'll be doing what I love.
But all this, because I believe is possible, and everyone should know that, "everything is possible, if you are willing to give it a goal", I heard those words on SGA ep. Poisoning the Well, by Dr. Carson Beckett, and if you notice, every movie, every series, has their teachings, and they usually teach that everything is possible, From Star Wars to Stargate! EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
So, do it yourself too, place a goal to you, if you believe in it, and you work for it, it will happen. It might take some time, but it will, all is in your hands.

One of my fave quotes is one from an Irish Dancer, Michael Flatley:
"FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS"
Because there is nothing more rewarding than following your dreams, nothing makes you feel better than that.
Another quote is from Col. Jack O'Neill from Stargate:
"THE FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, TRY TRY TRY TRY TRY TRY TRY TRY AGAIN"
Because most of the times, it won't work in the first attempt, but that should make you keep going, doing it again, to make it work, because we should learn from our failures, not give up on them.

So, keep it going, work for your goal, no matter what is it, keep the faith, and it will happen!!
